The Place
The Place Where God’s Name is
The Place Where God’s People Are

The Place of the Altar

In ALL Places—this means that the Altar was not designed to be stationary but mobil. The idea that worship is a one location place is not the ultimate Biblical concept of worship. As you reflect back on scripture, Abraham had an altar at every place he traveled. When people can only worship in a certain location, something is wrong. Some people in the local church has to be in their special spot to worship. “Their assigned seat.” The Holy Spirit is capable of finding you wherever you might be. Note Jacob at Bethel: (The Lord was in this place and I didn’t know it.)

The Place Where God’s Name is

God’s name is what makes the place not the place making God’s name. (Mt. Sinia was just a mountain until God placed his name there. Jerusalem was just a city until God placed His name there.
God’s name is where God’s person abide—When God’s person abide, God’s actions abide. Note: Deut.12:11 ; Communion Deut.14:23; Rememberance Deut.16:6 ; Rejoicing Deut.16:11; Place of Prayer 1 Kings 8:43

The Place Where God’s People Are Matt.18:20

The Altar was of no value if people were not there with God.
The People that were there were not perfect people. They were all a work in progress
There were always there with God in the mist—Jesus on the cross and surrounded by saints and sinners.
